Yuletide Letter

First things first: I am easy to please. Please do not stress about this! I'm good with whatever you find in your heart to write for me. Seriously! This is my eighth Yuletide, I think, so I know the deal. Optional details are optional! So here's some stuff.
LIKES: You can never, ever go wrong with friends falling in love. It is my favorite trope. People with history who finally find their way to each other. Yes, please. Rawr. I love reunions, as well. Friends falling in love at a reunion, even better! I love complications and angst and frustrating that get in the way of true love--as long as those details are eventually solved/forgiven/forgotten. Also: making out, first times, people being really good at their jobs, pining and longing (even if unrequited), nostalgia, canon references, karma and fate and the universe, doggies, confessions, confrontations. Infidelity and betrayal is fine, but I would like some resolution before the end of it all. Supernatural elements could be fun--vampires, ghosts, time travel, etc. I'm also a huge fan of angst with a happy ending--I want my characters to earn and deserve the things that make them happy.
I do tend to lean more toward shippy things than gen, but if you feel more comfortable with gen, I assure you that I will love it no matter what. Really!
DISLIKES: - Epithets, character bashing, graphic violence, total fluff without any hint of angst, but also not complete angst and death and sadness without a bit of fluff, etc. Not particularly into babies/kid fic, but go with it if the spirit leads you there. I'm not even sure what A/B/O is but I'm pretty sure I'm not into it. No animal abuse, obvs. I don't really have any triggers that I need to be warned about, that I know of, anyway.
MEH: I'm meh on AUs--coffee shops and college AUs have never been big in my fandoms so I'm not even all that familiar with them. I do like an AU that takes off from canon, kind of "what happened if this one thing was different" kind of thing. Crossovers could be fun but completely not necessary. Other shows I dig include: Friends, CSI (GSR 4ever), Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Big Bang Theory, The West Wing, etc. Holiday fic can be cute and such but it's not required. I'm cool with Christmas and all other associated religious and non-religious holidays/gatherings.
PORN: - I'm in! I like handcuffs and other assorted light bondage situations, dub con, rough sex (hair pulling and spanking for example) lip biting, teasing/build-up/foreplay, etc. Not particularly into anything more graphic than that. I'm also a sucker for student/teacher and age differences, ooh, and height differences! Also: Bonus points for sexy times near/on a piano...that scene in Pretty Woman left a very long lasting impression on my psyche, if you know what I mean. Please note: none of this is necessary at all; I love fic without porn just as much as fic with it!

I always feel compelled to mention that I have had a love affair with Axl Rose/Guns N' Roses for the past 26 years of my life. I've seen them live 7 times, and basically Axl is the love of my life. This doesn't have to do with anything that matters for Yuletide but I just thought I'd mention it.

THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE:
Characters: Henry, Clare, Alba
This is the second year I've requested this--it's my most favorite book ever. I've read it like 35 times. What I love the most is how Henry and Clare are just kind of bound together. They never actually met each other for the first time at the same time. Their meeting in the library when he doesn't even know about Clare yet but she's been in love with him her entire life...be still, my heart. And Alba time travels, too! I know Audrey is writing a book about Alba and I'm excited for that to happen. But meanwhile, I want to know more about Alba's adventures. Maybe how she gets around the whole arrives everywhere naked thing. What time does she most enjoy going to? Does she ever just want to settle down and be normal? And anything about Henry and Clare. What happens when he visits her when she's in her eighties? Or like...literally anything else. Maybe Clare starts to time travel somehow, just so she can go find Henry somewhere in time. Whatever, I will read anything about the two of them. Their love story never ceases to inspire me. I received the most beautiful story last year and would love, love, love another one this year.
MY SO-CALLED LIFE:
Characters: Jordan, Angela, Rayanne
I asked for these three characters but please feel free to use everyone--these three are my faves, though. It's been, what, 23 years since this show debuted but I'm still not over it. I'm just not. I was the same age as Angela at the time and I loved me some bad boys, too, so I really related to her. And I've always wanted her red hair. I've included MSCL in my Yuletide requests since year one, and I've received some pretty great stuff, but there's always room for more.
So! This is where the love of reunions can come in. 5 year, 10 year, 20 year--even better, since that's about the age I am now. I am a huge sucker for Jordan/Angela, I am pretty sure they were my first ever OTP. What I loved about it was that he was the "bad boy" and the complete opposite of Angela, but he understood that she was different than the other girls he's dated/had sex with (case in point: Rayanne), and he started to figure it out by the end of the show. He has to treat her differently and he wants to because he feels like he needs her. Or whatever. So a reunion where they meet again after 20 years and the chemistry is still there, and Rayanne is there, somewhere. MAYBE Jordan and Rayanne were together for a while after high school, or Angela and Brian dated in college, or Rayanne and Angela haven't spoken since graduation, or something that would make the dynamics uncomfortable but charged with passion. Seriously, anything along those lines would be amazing. Or take off from where the show left off--what happened with Angela/Brian/Jordan after she finds out Brian wrote the letter? Does she ever really forgive Rayanne?
BONUS: Homeland isn't available this year but I've always wanted (and got a great one a few years ago) to see what happens when Angela gets sick of her family and decides to go to the Middle East and change her identity. Did I mention how much I love Claire Danes? Lovvvveee.
BABY-SITTERS CLUB:
Characters: Stacey, Claudia, Kristy, Mary Anne.
This is another one I ask for every year, as it was a vital part of my childhood. I just want to know what happened after they left middle school! High school, college, everything. I want to see how they grew up, what they're doing, if they still care about kids or if they got burned out on them, how their relationships with each other are like now. I would love to see Dawn, Jessi, Mallory and whomever else you'd like to include. I see there's a lot of other characters listed and I wouldn't mind if they made an appearance, but the girls in the club are who I'd like to focus on. Also not opposed to some porny things happening up in here. Just sayin'. I don't really ship any of them in particular but if I did, it would be Stacey and Claudia. Reunion fic is also especially welcome here.
PITCH:
Characters: Mike Lawson, Ginny Baker.
I am still so depressed that this show was canceled. Like, why?! It had so much potential. Ginny/Mike is my crack. Let me say first that I love all the characters and would love to see them if possible--Evelyn/Blip were the most amazing couple and I'd like to see them patch things up, too. But yeah, Mike and Ginny are the main focus. AND while I wouldn't mind seeing them separately--more about Mike's messed up childhood, more about Ginny and what motivates her and keeps her going during all the crap that surrounds her--I'm not gonna pretend that I don't want to see them together in any combination of ways. Yule!porn is especially welcome here! Alllll the tropes are good, too. I'm here for the age difference, the fact that she had his posters in her room growing up, his compulsive need to protect her, etc. What happens when Mike isn't traded, after Ginny's injury (hurt/comfort might be delicious in this case), maybe in the future after Mike retires, or even reunion fic might be interesting here, too. In five years, Mike is retired and Ginny's gotten some maturity and experience, they meet somewhere and stuff happens. Hubba hubba.
I'm totes cool with gen for the two of them/all the other characters, too, if that's where your muse wants to go. I just love them and need more since they have left us forever.
Hart of Dixie:
Characters: Wade Kinsella, Zoe Hart
So this is a new one for me--I binged it this year and couldn't even deal with Zoe/Wade--I was rooting for them the whole 4 seasons. Again, I'd love to see all the characters that are eligible, but I'd love anything for these two especially. This is the kid-fic exception--how are they as a family, raising their baby? How do they keep the romance alive down the line? How does Wade reign in the constant flirtations with all the ladies/does Zoe not even care about that anymore? Whatever you got, I'm all ears.
