Oct. 12th, 2001 11:39 pmSo, it's time for a little happy birthday to me reflection.
In the past year:
- My 13 old dog died the weekend of my last birthday. My family is still not over it. He was just the best dog you could ever ask for. I mean.. he got the paper! Even when he was 13 he'd still go outside with me and drag the paper inside. He was such a good little Golden Retriever.
-I tried to lose weight every day, only succeeding in gaining it.
- Reunited with an old friend. (God almighty, what took us so long?!)
- Came out of my "Well, I'd rather go shopping/see a movie/eat lunch/etc by myself" shell and made some friends, got somewhat of a social life and became a little more outgoing.
- Got a B! in Math while at the same time forming a somewhat large crush on the student teacher, who had man boobs.
- Spent way too much money.
- In a sudden moral fit, I threw away all my porn, including a vibrator and about 10 tapes, in the dumpster. Luckily, a few months later I regained my senses and bought a new vibrator and a couple of new tapes. (Hey, once a deviant, always a deviant)
- Found myself legally able to gamble, and subsequently (with a trip to Reno and two trips to Louisiana) found out that I really sucked at gambling.
- Got addicted to Scrabble, Yahtzee, and Monopoly. (Thank you, Games.com!
- Through two road trips, went to two countries (Just Mexico and Canada, I know, not very interesting), went to New York City for the first time, also went to Washington DC, Philadephia, Delaware, Baltimore, Maine, and all those other East Coast cities that I had never seen. Also went in a Land Rover when gas prices were at their highest. Umm.. I don't recommened that.
- Celebrated my little puppy's 2nd birthday. Aww! He's my little boy! He's my little puppy dog!
- Disoovered the life-sucking addiction of Diaryland and made a few froggy-friends and such.
- Almost found my ass dumped but a few months later had a 4 year anniversary.
- Watched in horror as terrorism changed the whole world, while in my political science class.
- Saw the hoover dam!
- Cried, laughed, got angry and frustrated and happy, bought lots of books, wrote a lot of email, pondered new things, missed old friends, wondered if I was wasting my time in college doing things that made me happy now but when I'm looking back, will I be happy or sad that I lived the way I did?
- Got closer and further everyday from accepting God's place in my life.
- Got some pretty new shoes!
- Became obsessed with the show Boston Public.
Okay, well I think that's about it, and I'm sure there's alot more, but there you go. I hope we're all having a good day today.
