I REEMEMMMEBBERR YOUUUUUUUUUUUuu
Dec. 13th, 2011 08:44 pmI'm so stoked right now because Sebastian Bach is apparently going to open for GNR in Vegas on New Year's. This is seriously like all my 12 year old dreams coming true. We all know my parents wouldn't let me go to the GNR concert...well, they wouldn't let me go to Skid Row, either. I was so pissed I didn't talk to them for days. Now I get both in one night! 20 years later.
I feel like Josh is going to hate this. When we listen to his music, it's Weird Al and dubstep these days. Plus I can just tell he's not really into this trip at all. I'm just trying to figure out if it's because he's going out of his comfort zone or if it's just because he plain just doesn't want to go. I know he's not going to tell me not to go...but I just have weird feelings about the whole thing. The things you do for love. It'll be interesting, for sure.
That's my excitement for today. Other assorted things of relevance:
- The NBA is back! I am committed this season. There's going to be so many games in such a short time because of the lock-out. It'll be such a trainwreck of awesomeness. Plus apparently now Dallas will have Kardashians. I may have to move.
- Sometimes at work my co-workers and I ponder how it is we still manage to exist here...it seems as though my boss gives a lot of work to contractors, and thus we don't have as much to work on. Which is good because we don't feel like we're always trying to get stuff done, but it also feels like someone will eventually notice that we're practically obsolete and should probably also be contractors. Which would suck since they get paid less and have no benefits. Usually, however, I like to ignore this problem and continue trying to accumulate as much overtime as possible {I'm in hour number 10 at work today) so I can have money for my impending road trip. Life: it's fun.
- I'm done with my nature photography class. I did learn a lot, really. My teacher wasn't overwhelmed by my nature pictures but he seemed to really enjoy my dog pictures. He thinks I have a special eye for them. I can get them in their element. Of course this sends my brain into OMG I HAVE TO BE A DOG PHOTOGRAPHER AND START MY OWN BUSINESS mode. It's something to think about in this next year, at least. I need to learn my camera backwards and forwards first, I need a website, I need a portfolio...but it's something I'm passionate about and more than that, it's something I'm good at. But I also have to wonder if I'm using it as an excuse not to write. I want to write more than anything in the world but as I get older, that dream feels like it's dying. Which makes me so, so sad. Cryyyy.
- Next Saturday I'm going to Utah for Christmas with my mom. It will be cold.
- I need to stop eating.
- I love dogs.
- I am grateful for all my RL friends, my interwebs friends (I hit 1,000 followers on tumblr today...that's a lot of people who want to see Axl pictures on a daily basis), and my family.
Thank you. Rock on.
